As some of you might not know, I've been sitting at home for around a year. Mostly because of me not being fully sure what direction I should be studying in. Well, in August I decided to do a career test. And well.. I think I was right in what I shouted what I wanted to become.
But there's a slight issue, I lack experience and well.. a diploma. Thus, I have to do a study prior. However.. The reason why I did IT instead of an Art orientated study is because of my at my middle school(Our school system works a bit different..) the teachers that should have been preparing us to study in that direction kept yelling at me and giving me low grades because of the way I drew. Yeah.. I know. My art style was not unique enough. However, even though it might be in a general direction, I was already busy with developing my own style. But they never even gave me a chance or helped me get on the way of developing a secondary style. They also told me, that I should not expect to get allowed to study in that direction because of the way I drew. Needlessly to say, that hurted my confidence in my art and it still shows today.
Now, with the career test that boosted my confidence and having developed myself a bit more after those three years they said that to me... and fighting with my parents who insisted I studied IT finally gave an OK word about me studying in the direction I've been thinking about for a year now because of IT failing... I decided that I WANT to study this direction upcoming school year!
However.. There is a slight issue.
You see.. There's countless of schools within the direction. And I'm not even sure what specialization I should be choosing. I mainly love desinging, thats a thing. But I refuse to go to some fashion-infested school, that is the largest no you'll ever hear me screaming. I loathe fashion and want to stay far away from that.
So yeah, I'm a bit in need of help.
It'll be great if you guys helped me with finding it.
I live in the Nothern Brabant province of the Netherlands. Around the city called 's-Hertogenbosch. Just to give you guys an idea. I'll be keeping my eye out as well. Study directions/specialization suggestions are welcome as well!
Note; I want to become a Game Designer. Yeah.. you must have heard a lot of people wanting to become one because they love playing games. I play games because of how they look(I'm not a graphic lover...), their music and their stories. I love searching stuff up and looking at the design sketches the creators made...
